Job summary
Cambro Manufacturing in North Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Technician to optimize machine functionality, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and implement improvements with new or automated equipment. The role includes installation of machines, robotic systems, and supporting hydraulics/pneumatics.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting, welding, reading schematics, and maintaining safe operations.
Qualifications
- Two or four-year certificate or 10–15 years related experience in industrial manufacturing.
- 8–10 years in preventative or corrective maintenance in molding environments.
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical/hydraulic prints or schematics.
- Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.
- Ability to interpret instructions and solve practical problems.
- Able to use respirator if needed.
- Attention to safety and PPE compliance.
Responsibilities
- Clean, dismantle, replace or repair defective machines and components.
- Locate malfunctions using instruments and observation.
- Perform preventative maintenance per defined schedule.
- Install/maintain hydraulic/pneumatic systems and transfer equipment.
- Install/repair automated machinery and robots.
- Operate shop tools to make/repair parts.
- Inspect parts for wear or misalignment.
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
- Document repairs in CMMS database.
