Job summary

Freudenberg Group in Durham, NC is seeking a maintenance technician to provide skilled support for operating equipment. You will interpret operator feedback, perform preventive actions, and contribute to reliability improvements.

Responsibilities include RCA-driven improvements, collaboration with electrical/process teams, and participation in on-call rotations to support 24/7 operations. A 2-year technical degree and CMMS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree in Industrial Systems or related field.
Certificates in PLCs, Hydraulics, and/or Pneumatics are beneficial.
0-5 years of technical support experience in an industrial environment is expected.
Experience with a CMMS for preventive maintenance tracking is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled maintenance support to identify and prevent failure points in operations equipment.
Contribute to maintenance management system improvements via Root Cause Analysis.
Collaborate with electrical, process, and reliability teams to prioritize tasks for plant needs.
Support ISO/TS quality management by maintaining equipment and contributing feedback to prevent deviations.
Maintain, repair, and upgrade process equipment (blowers, compressors, extruders, heaters, dehumidifiers, web conveying, winding, and slitting).
Support plant utilities maintenance (steam, compressed air, chilled water, cooling tower water).
Assist design, installation, start-up, and shutdown of new or modified equipment per safety standards.
Supervise or assist contract personnel to ensure safe and quality work.
Maintain high workmanship standards and 5S in shared areas; participate in on-call rotation.
Provide skills training to maintenance personnel to improve reliability and safety.
