Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician 3 to perform technical maintenance on property buildings, grounds, and amenities in Houston. You will diagnose defects, complete work orders, and ensure safety and quality standards are met across the property.

Responsibilities include make-readies, inventory control, and documentation, with a focus on cost efficiency and proper tool usage. OSHA training and safety compliance are also required.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• State and local certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and performs preventative maintenance per policy and safety standards.
• Executes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, and scheduling vendors.
• Tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents and files paperwork promptly to ensure service requests are tracked.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, cleans, paints curbs and signage, and assists with general upkeep.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools properly.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal

State & Local certifications

Valid driver's license
