Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings and common areas meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready vacant units, inventory management, documentation, grounds maintenance, and cost-conscious repairs.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications if applicable, state/local licenses, and a valid driver's license to operate golf carts on property.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification (for Certified Service Technicians)
• All state and local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and code requirements.
• Performs make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting completed work.
• Tracks inventory and materials, returns unused items, and notifies maintenance about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and performing light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.
• Assists in conducting routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
