Job summary

Advanced Technology Services seeks an experienced technician to perform expert break-fix and preventative maintenance in a factory setting. The role includes diagnostics, part sourcing, and equipment optimization to keep manufacturing lines running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree or substantial experience with electrical, mechanical, and control systems, plus familiarity with CMMS and data-driven maintenance strategies. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree with technical focus or 7 years in industry.
• Experience with predictive technologies, precision alignments, and maintenance of process equipment.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems; able to analyze problems and repair them.
• Ability to use basic and specialized tools as appropriate.
• Experience in vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations, precision alignments, and maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance, including disassembly and reconditioning of parts.
• Identify and source parts and repair items; evaluate alternatives to improve cost/reliability.
• Lead CI activities and mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Coordinate with Planner/Scheduler to optimize preventive maintenance procedures.
• Operate machining tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding as required.
• Update CMMS records and analyze equipment history for trends.
