Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking an industrial maintenance technician to perform mid to expert level maintenance in a factory setting. The role includes diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, using hand and specialized tools, and performing welding tasks as needed.

You will update CMMS records, participate in CI initiatives, and support training for junior staff, while adhering to safety policies and 5S standards. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
• Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventive maintenance.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
• Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
• May setup and operate multiple machining operations including lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools; welding tasks may be required.
• Drives and participates in continuous improvement activities (CI).
• Updates CMMS history and records.
• Troubleshoots control systems to resolve software/hardware issues.
• Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
• Provides guidance to lower level technicians and supports training.
• Completes on-the-job and technical self-study for career development.
• Follows safety policies and identifies unsafe conditions.
