Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a senior Maintenance Technician III to provide advanced troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of facility systems and production equipment. You will lead maintenance activities, coordinate shutdowns, and drive reliability improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor technicians, interpret schematics, and analyze performance data to support lifecycle planning and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification required.
• 1–3 years in maintenance, facilities, or industrial operations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Advanced PLC/VFD troubleshooting and automation understanding.
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning systems.
• Ability to read complex schematics and install/upgrade systems.
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities to guide technicians.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance shutdowns with operations leadership.
• Install, commission, and validate new equipment.
• Read blueprints and analyze equipment performance trends.
• Provide training and guidance to maintenance team members.
• Ensure safety, OSHA compliance, and proper PPE use.
• Maintain CMMS records and equipment histories.
