Job summary

Pretium Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the C shift (7 am to 7 pm) at our Illinois facility. You will lead troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems, and mentor junior technicians.

The role emphasizes RCA, PLC/VFD programming, preventive maintenance, reading schematics, and collaboration with engineering and operations to keep line uptime and safety standards high.

Qualifications

• Lead troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC systems.
• Mentor lower-tier technicians through on-the-job training and guidance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, motor controls, and VFDs.
• Perform and document preventative and predictive maintenance routines.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
• Install, repair, and upgrade machinery for capital projects or upgrades.
• Develop and improve maintenance SOPs and equipment documentation.
• Maintain OSHA and safety compliance during maintenance activities.
• Support facility HVAC, compressed air, boilers, and water treatment systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and vendors on repairs and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics across multiple systems.
• Mentor and support technicians through on-the-job training.
• Participate in RCA and corrective action processes.
