Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment at our Aurora, Illinois facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing mechanical and electrical equipment while supporting preventative maintenance initiatives that maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Team player who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Install, maintain, and modify production equipment and facility systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, control systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Install electrical equipment including conduit, cable trays, wiring, motors, and drives.
• Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and capital projects.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational goals.
• Perform general building and facility maintenance as required.
