Job summary

Marsden Services, L.L.C. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of properties in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area.

The role runs 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours weekly, with a company vehicle available for site travel. Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and related systems; coordinating work orders; and assisting with training and mentoring

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Four years multi-family or commercial building maintenance or equivalent experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Intermediate computer skills include email, data entry in Office, especially Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• All boiler license levels accepted and preferred.
• Must provide own hand tools listed in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to meet standards and laws.
• Schedule and ensure timely completion of all work orders (within 48 hours).
• Complete basic repairs in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, fixtures, plumbing, appliances, and windows.
• Prioritize work orders and monitor maintenance of buildings and equipment.
• Perform site-level preventative maintenance inspections and duties.
• Prepare vacant units as assigned.
• Collaborate with vendor teams on maintenance projects.
• Maintain inventory of hand tools, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain professional conduct with residents, vendors, and the public.
• Provide on-call emergency maintenance as scheduled.
• Assist in training and mentoring new maintenance technicians.
• Attend training courses and keep required certifications current.
• Comply with safety program requirements and promote safety at work.
