Job summary

Shape Corp. in Alabama seeks an experienced Machine Repair Technician to inspect, install and repair production machinery and to build and rebuild equipment for manufacturing needs including material handling and tooling systems.

The role involves troubleshooting of mills, presses, conveyors, and related equipment; performing preventive maintenance; managing Plex work orders; and driving continuous improvement while mentoring apprentices, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Machine Repair or Machine Repair Apprenticeship Certificate.
• Minimum of five years of Machine Repair experience preferred.
• Advanced Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
• Advanced understanding of Robotic controls.
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to drive KTMR support.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools following specified procedures.
• Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair mills, presses, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and update maintenance schedules.
• Manage work orders via Plex system.
• Engage with outside resources to keep production running.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance tooling, processes, and equipment performance.
• Provide direction and mentor apprentices as requested.
