Job summary

Bozzuto in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead troubleshooting and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and security systems across our properties. You will respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours, support preventative maintenance, adhere to codes and safety standards, and work evenings/weekends on a rotating basis.

HVAC/EPA certification preferred; 2–5 years' experience and reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in residential property management.
• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and/or Appliance Repair expertise.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to respond to after-hour emergencies.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lb occasionally and 25–50 lb frequently.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead role in troubleshooting, adjust control systems, and ensure daily functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and security systems.
• Maintain property assets per Management instructions with advanced skills.
• Respond quickly to deficiencies found in preventative maintenance inspections.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians on Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Deliver excellent customer service; respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours.
• Ensure safety standards and codes compliance; work on evenings or weekends as needed.
