Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in Cambridge, MA, to lead troubleshooting and care of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and security systems at our residential properties.

The role requires 2–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA certification preferred, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. You will ensure safety, quality workmanship, and responsive resident service while collaborating with the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician preferably in the Residential Property Management industry.
• HVAC, EPA Certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or appliance repair.
• Requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly through pushing, pulling and climbing activities.
• Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and respond to after hour's emergency maintenance; including nights and weekends on a rotational basis
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Computer skills and comfort using various software, apps and computer programs
• A service mentality and a thirst for learning

Responsibilities

• Take the lead role in troubleshooting, adjustments to control systems and ensuring daily functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation and security systems.
• Maintain the physical asset of the property as directed by Management with focus on advanced skills.
• Respond quickly to deficiencies found in preventative maintenance inspections.
• Work closely with Maintenance Technicians to complete the communities Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Respond to all maintenance requests within 24 hours
• Ensure effective, professional, and timely follow up with residents, vendors and property management team on all maintenance services provided
• Adhere to and stay current on all applicable building codes, safety standards and fair housing laws
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after hour emergencies
