Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Maintenance Technician III in Fontana, CA to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance on metal fabrication equipment, CNC machines, presses and welders. You will work with Production Leads to ensure performance and safety across the shop floor.

You will diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform PMs, and support improvements in quality and safety. Overtime may be required to meet production needs in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associates degree and/or technical certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as metal shears, presses, CNC machines, and fabrication including welding.
• Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic components/systems.
• Ability to read machine schematics and CAD drawings.
• Experience with PLCs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies electrical theory to test and modify electrical machinery and control equipment.
• Assembles and tests motor-control devices and electrical components.
• Diagnose pneumatic and hydraulic components and systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical/electronic malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan layout and installation of new machinery and electrical wiring.
• Maintain electrical systems and read schematics.
