Job summary

Allegion plc in Fontana, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to work independently and with the operations team to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance on metal fabrication equipment including presses, CNC machines, welders and forklifts.

You will collaborate with Production Leads to ensure safety, quality and productivity, maintain a clean and organized work area, and be adaptable to overtime and variable start times as production needs demand.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associates degree and/or technical certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair of equipment such as metal shears, punches, presses, and CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Applies electrical theory to test and modify electrical machinery and control equipment.
• Assembles and tests motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, and related components.
• Diagnose pneumatic and hydraulic components and systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Read electrical schematics and repair equipment ranging up to 480V-3 phase.
• Plan layout and installation of new machinery and electrical wiring.
• Provide input to safety and productivity improvements.
