Job summary

SSC Services for Education is seeking a full-time Plumbing Maintenance Technician at TAMU, College Station, TX. 1 year of prior maintenance and plumbing experience is required; apprentice I-III is preferred. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in making decisions on all normal and complex repairs; reports major problems to the maintenance supervisor and foreman.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems, or the facilities of any related systems, using power and hand tools and other necessary equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
• Analyzes and corrects complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
