Job summary

SSC Services for Education, a member of Compass Group, is hiring maintenance technicians for full-time and part-time shifts at TAMU College Station, TX. The role requires 1 year of prior preventative maintenance experience with a pay range of $16.00–$18.50 per hour.

Responsibilities include HVAC and electrical systems maintenance, supervision on projects, and ensuring safety and quality standards across educational facilities. Benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in making decisions on repairs; reports major problems to supervisor.
• Constructs, installs, maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical systems with tools and equipment.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs or diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads and transmits complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teaches advanced maintenance skills to other department members.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and makes punch lists.
• Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes work orders, tests and inspections.
