Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems across the facility in Acworth, GA. You will execute capital projects, install and dismantle equipment, and support timely production with a strong independent work ethic.

This role requires reading work orders, diagnosing issues, calibrating controls, and leading junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures.
• Knowledge of various hand and power tools.
• Knowledge and use of micrometers, required use of digital multimeters and calipers.
• Prior experience operating a forklift.
• Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to complete tasks.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes including NFPA 70E.
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting and use of testing equipment.
• Knowledge of plant equipment (level III).
• Ability to use tools, forklift, welding, ERP.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble machines after repair/maintenance.
• Start machines and observe operation to ensure efficiency.
• Inspect damaged parts and advise on repairs.
• Lubricate or apply materials to equipment per procedures.
• Install or replace machine parts per production specs.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools, cranes, hoists.
• Record production and maintenance information.
• Maintain PM completion rate per MaintainX.
• Read work orders to determine repair needs.
• Set up and operate machines, adjust controls.
• Transport parts and equipment between areas.
• Dispose worn parts to maintain cleanliness.
• Clean machines and parts with solvents and tools.
• Modify equipment to improve safety and efficiency.
• Comply with policies and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot control systems, servo drives, motors, HMIs and PLCs.
• Calibrate controls instrumentation.
• Maintain and enhance electrical/PLC troubleshooting.
• Provide training to Maintenance technicians I & II.
• Explain issues to vendors/engineers for resolution.
• Audit and improve preventive maintenance procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
