Job summary

SIG is seeking Maintenance Technicians to support day-to-day operations of machines, equipment, and facility areas in Peachtree City, GA. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with upgrades, and fabricate/repair components using various machining tools.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, the ability to read schematics, and a team‑oriented, safety‑minded approach. This is an at-will, hands‑on role with opportunities to contribute to lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred; 5–7 years’ experience with vocational or military training acceptable.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and technical aptitude.
• Knowledge of motors, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics; HVAC a plus.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience a plus.
• Ability to read drawings, manuals, parts lists and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformance to electrical codes and OSHA safety requirements.
• Provide mechanical and electrical support for routine and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and systems.
• Interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
• Support capital planning and lean manufacturing initiatives.
