Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to uphold mechanical, electrical, and boiler systems in a manufacturing setting. The role covers capital projects, equipment installation and dismantling, and a broad range of maintenance tasks across the facility.

The position is 40 hours weekly with 8–10 hour shifts, occasional overtime and weekend hours; no travel is required. A solid mechanical background with rotating equipment is preferred, with forklift and welding

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years related maintenance experience
• Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding and boiler experience preferred
• Mechanical background with rotating equipment; hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance
• Start machines and observe operation to ensure efficiency and detect problems
• Inspect or test damaged parts and report repairs
• Lubricate or apply materials to parts according to procedures
• Install, replace, or change machine parts per specifications
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using tools and hoists
• Record production, repair, and maintenance information
• Read work orders and specs to determine needs
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls
• Transport parts and equipment between areas
• Dispose of worn parts to maintain machinery and work areas
• Clean machines and parts with solvents, cloths, air guns, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned
