Job summary

Baxter Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Principle Maintenance Technician to support plant operations, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize automated production equipment. You will drive maintenance strategies, manage contractors, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, safety, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure production goals are met and operations run reliably.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Technical associate’s degree preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or 3 years as a Principle Maintenance Technician (PMT).
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on automated production machinery to reduce downtime and meet production schedules.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment availability.
• Lead contractors and maintenance techs with minimal engineering support on projects.
• Train new maintenance techs and develop project management skills.
• Drive innovation and build complex solutions for engineering design challenges.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Technical Associate degree (2-year)

10 years of relevant maintenance experience or 3 years as PMT

Strong communication skills

Tools

PLC control systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley)

Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting

Technical drawings & schematics
