Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant manufacturing equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. You will support production and contribute to continuous improvement.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, working with CMMS (Maximo), and adhering to cGMP, EHS, and PPE protocols. Bonus: $3,500 sign-on; knowledge of PLCs, drives and vision systems is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred technical school training.
• 1–2+ years of maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
• CMMS (Maximo) experience preferred.
• Familiar with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Omron).
• SCADA/EMS/BMS experience preferred.
• Able to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge of sensors, drives, and vision systems.
• Good English communication and adherence to cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Responds to trouble calls and conducts root cause analysis.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance to keep equipment operational.
• Follows safety, GDP, and plant procedures; uses PPE as required.
• Documents work in CMMS and ensures proper signoffs.
• Participates in continuous improvement projects.
• Performs equipment installations and upgrades as needed.
