Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Batesville, IN is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, repair, install electrical and mechanical systems, and work with engineers and operators to minimize downtime.

This role requires a High School diploma, technical training, and hands-on experience with motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics, plus basic PLC fault finding and CMMS like Maximo. On-site with comprehensive US benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Two-year technical college education or equivalent experience.
Experience with motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics, electrical systems and controls, basic PLC troubleshooting, preventive maintenance programs, and Maximo CMMS.

Responsibilities

Fix, maintain, and install equipment across the facility to keep operations running smoothly.
Use wiring diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and other instructions to identify and solve equipment problems.
Complete routine preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
Find and repair electrical problems, including replacing faulty parts.
Repair and maintain mechanical equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
Create or update wiring diagrams and maintenance records for future repairs.
Order and track parts and supplies for maintenance work and recommend spare parts.
Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and service technicians to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Support installation of new equipment and improvements of existing equipment.
Participate in team meetings and address equipment and production issues.
Communicate updates and improvement ideas with supervisors and team members.
Record maintenance activities and equipment information accurately.
Assist in training operators and team members when needed.
Identify potential problems and safety concerns and propose solutions.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Follow safety rules and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
