Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks an experienced Senior level technician to independently perform advanced maintenance and provide training to junior staff. The role includes supporting reliability-centered maintenance, root-cause analysis, and the creation or editing of maintenance job plans.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience (or equivalent certifications) in multiple skilled maintenance functions, strong MS Windows skills, and the ability to train others while collaborating

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or relevant certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

Responsibilities

• Adhere to AbbVie’s code of conduct and maintain department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards.
• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis.
• Capable of training others on tasks and creates/edits maintenance job plans.
• Assists cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization and supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives.
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
