Job summary

Greystar in Washington, DC is seeking a Service Technician to maintain building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and handle work orders. You will diagnose issues, complete the make-ready process, and ensure safety standards are met.

Daily duties include inventory checks, coordinating with vendors, documenting work orders, and performing general cleaning and minor repairs around common areas. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate golf cart on property.
• State and local certification requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Manage materials and inventory, track usage and reorder supplies.
• Complete service documentation for requests promptly.
• Assist with grounds, cleaning, and minor improvements as needed.
• Attend safety meetings and comply with OSHA and safety laws.
