Job summary

BioMerieux Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment at our Durham facility. The role entails advanced troubleshooting, repair, and mentoring of junior staff in a cGMP environment.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in electro-mechanical maintenance, PLCs, and strong documentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office. On-site work with a 2-2-3 schedule and a competitive total rewards package offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience with intermediate to advanced troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics and prints; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls experience.
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Experience in electro-mechanical maintenance and high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience in a cGMP/Regulated environment desired.
• Able to read ladder logic and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Basic computer skills; proficient in email, Windows, Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on sophisticated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems independently.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis efforts to prevent recurring equipment issues.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry-level technicians.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FDA regulations, GMP, ISO standards, and safety protocols.
• Utilize and maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
