Job summary

MITER Brands in Temperance, MI is seeking a Maintenance Tech III for our manufacturing plant. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair equipment, and support higher-level technicians while maintaining safe, compliant operations.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30.00–$35.00 with a $2.00 per hour differential for SD, plus OT. Ideal candidates have 5 years of manufacturing experience, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to train others and document

Qualifications

• Technical or Trade school degree preferred, or a High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years of experience in maintenance in manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of industrial electricity.
• Working knowledge of energy sources for each piece of utility equipment (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic); PLC experience a plus.
• Able to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.).
• Ability to work independently when directed.
• Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints.
• Familiar with diagnostic equipment (ohm meters, voltage meters) and power tools.
• Follow OSHA and company maintenance regulations (Lock Out Tag Out, PPE).
• Knowledge of Proteus procedures and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and preventative tasks on equipment in assigned area.
• Maintain open communication with coworkers and supervisor.
• Complete work orders accurately and document tasks done.
• Document maintenance tasks in Proteus and other systems.
• Work with outside contractors on projects and improvements.
