Job summary

POAH Communities seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for Aaron Briggs Manor, an 88-unit senior housing property in Providence, RI. You will lead day-to-day maintenance, supervise staff, and ensure repairs meet HUD and local codes.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, plus strong vendor and work-order management using Yardi. Flexible hours and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Three–five years of direct experience in property management and related fields.
• Some post high school education, apprenticeship, or supervised technical training preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain the property to meet building codes and HUD standards.
• Manage work orders in Yardi and complete within 24 hours.
• Ensure safety and preserve physical assets for residents and staff.
• Handle resident inquiries professionally and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with regional supervisors, technicians, and vendors.
