Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Aaron Briggs Manor, an 88-unit senior housing property in Providence, RI. The role emphasizes safe maintenance, preventative care, and timely repairs to ensure resident comfort and safety.

You will be responsible for inspections, coordinating make-readies, and maintaining grounds. A valid driver's license and HVAC certification (preferred) are valued assets for this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of apartment maintenance experience or equivalent preferred.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and auto insurance.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and on-call.
• Knowledge of safe use of hand and power tools, equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Follow EPA and OSHA regulations and maintain compliance.
• Inspect property conditions and address unsafe conditions promptly.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and perform safety duties.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs and make-readies as needed.
• Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed.
• Inspect and coordinate needed make-ready repairs and services.
• Keep grounds neat and clean, with basic landscaping tasks.
