Job summary

Bozzuto in Tampa seeks an Assistant Building Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs. You will supervise a team, ensure preventative maintenance, and manage make-readies to keep apartments leasing-ready.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in trades, facilities or residential maintenance.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC/EPA/NAPE certification required.
• Knowledge of risk management, OSHA and MSDS.
• Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills.
• Exposure to complex mechanical systems (central plant, boilers, chillers).
• Safety-minded with attention to detail.
• Hands-on builder mentality and ability to work on-site.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and teamwork.
• MS Office proficiency and comfort with tech platforms.
• On-call availability for emergency situations.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs frequently and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Resolve HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Manage make-readies and turnover to support leasing.
• Preserve building value through preventative maintenance.

• Ensure peak efficiency of all systems.
• Adhere to codes and operate accident-free.
• Work weekends and participate in on-call rotation.
