Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for Channel Mission Bay, a 315-home exclusive community in San Francisco, CA. The role emphasizes first-class service, resident happiness, and proactive maintenance leadership.

Responsibilities include performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and related repairs, maintaining safety, and mentoring junior technicians. After-hours on-call rotation is required, with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is required.
• EPA Type I (608) certification preferred.
• CPO certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of grounds, common areas, and buildings; report deficiencies or safety issues.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and restore service promptly.
• Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy with essential trades.
• Maintain and inventory tools/equipment; assist in stocking supplies.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with vendor management and purchasing within budget.
• Foster positive resident relationships and seek opportunities to improve happiness.
• In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, supervise the service team.
• Mentor and train new Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
