Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for Channel Mission Bay, an exclusive apartment community in San Francisco, CA.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality maintenance services, ensuring curb appeal, and maintaining resident satisfaction through prompt responses to requests. The successful candidate will handle electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and preventive maintenance, while supervising staff in the manager’s absence and supporting vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in multi-family or hospitality settings.
• Proficient in residential plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, drywall.
• HVAC and carpentry knowledge is a plus.
• Customer service experience required.
• Proficient with modern technology (computers, smartphones).
• Valid driver’s license and on-call rotation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of community areas and units.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and restore service quickly.
• Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy through various trades.
• Manage tools, equipment, and inventory; assist with vendor management.
• Foster positive resident relationships and identify ways to improve happiness and service.
• Lead and supervise the service team in the absence of a Maintenance Manager.
• Train and mentor new Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
