Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Maintenance Planner Scheduler (MPS) to support a team of multi-skilled technicians in a manufacturing facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. The MPS coordinates maintenance work controls, plans labor, parts, tools, and permits, and develops safe, efficient work plans.

You will manage work orders, pre-evaluate parts, create job plans, perform root-cause analysis for improvements, and work with operations to minimize production downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with maintenance planning exposure.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive/predictive maintenance planning.
• Ability to coordinate parts and skilled labor to ensure timely, safe completion.

Responsibilities

• Upholds safety, health, and environmental procedures and supports OSHA/EPA rules.
• Acts as liaison between maintenance and operations planning.
• Maximizes resources by identifying parts, tools, services, and documentation.
• Reviews planned work orders for completeness and scope.
• Develops full scope, costs, and sequencing for maintenance activities.
• Prepares job plans with parts, materials, tools, and external services.
• Performs root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
• Initiates best practices in planning and scheduling preventive/predictive work.
• Analyzes unplanned work orders for corrective actions and improvements.
• Maintains CMMS, backlog, and inventory; ensures accurate work order closure.
