Job summary

First Quality in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Maintenance Planner to improve workforce productivity by coordinating parts, machine time and labor. You will act as liaison between operations and maintenance, maintain records, and plan all maintenance work for the area.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/electrical background, 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, and familiarity with MP2, SAP or EAM.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/electrical background is required and technical school background or industrial engineering degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS such as MP2, SAP, or EAM.
• Ability to estimate labor hours, materials and visualize job execution.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal contact between Maintenance and plant.
• Review and screen work orders for completion and discuss details with requestor.
• Plan maintenance work schedule and coordinate with Operations Planning.
• Ensure availability of parts, materials, and tools before scheduling.
• Develop and maintain backlog files and ensure downtime windows are negotiated.
• Attend meetings and balance labor hours to provide full days of work.
