Job summary

Amalgamated Sugar Company seeks a Maintenance Planner to coordinate parts, labor and machine time to prevent delays and ensure safe execution of routine maintenance across equipment and facilities.

You will work with operations, maintenance, and safety teams, reporting to the Planning & Scheduling Supervisor, and help build standard job plans and a comprehensive maintenance library for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical background with technical school training.
• Ability to estimate labor hours and material needs for jobs.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong administrative and mathematical skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and planning software.
• Strong planning, organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to interpret instructions and blueprints.
• Experience reading blueprints and shop drawings; ability to sketch.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal contact between Maintenance and plant teams.
• Use JDE to meet work requirements after proper training.
• Participate in safety programs and address safety hazards.
• Support cross-functional planning and scheduling activities.
• Receive and convert work orders into executable plans and prepare materials.
