Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 5-7 years related experience in a heavy industrial environment with at least 3 years in a planning/scheduling capacity.
• Language Ability: Read, analyze, and interpret business materials; write reports, correspondence, and procedures; communicate with managers and customers.
• Math Ability: Calculate figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; apply basic algebra/geometry.
• Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems with varying instructions and limited standardization.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CMMS (Maximo) and MS Project experience.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of power distribution, I&C, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, machinery, and ability to read schematics/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Schedule maintenance work and non-emergency tasks using approved tools to ensure preventive/predictive tasks are completed timely.
• Lead outage planning, including creating resource-loaded schedules and defining contractor scope.
• Develop job plans with hazards, instructions, BOMs, and costs; coordinate with departments to minimize scope creep.
• Track maintenance metrics and expenditures, report to budget, and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Oversee backlog management, ensure proper planning and safe execution of work orders.
• Participate in bidding and procurement for third-party services.
