Qualifications

• Education Level: GED or standard high school diploma from a GaDOE-approved and accredited institution is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and supervises various work groups and projects.
• Submits estimates of cost of materials and labor.
• Writes requisitions, and ensures proper procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
• Receives work orders, makes job assignments, and recommends priorities of work.
• Assists in developing and delivering training programs for staff in safety procedures, use and care of equipment, appropriate use of materials and other subjects.
• Makes bills of materials for jobs and see that stock levels are maintained.
• Performs highly skilled technical work.
• Inspects completed jobs and makes necessary reports.
• Make periodic inspections of buildings and equipment.
• Prepares plans or sketches, or explains same or supplied blueprints to ensure work crew will perform assignments correctly.
• Keeps records and prepares reports.
• Performs other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization and the safety of students and staff.
