Job summary

Housing Authority of Savannah is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Savannah, GA. This full-time role oversees hands-on maintenance of housing developments, supervises the maintenance team, and ensures timely, quality repairs across interiors and exteriors.

The position requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and safety regulations, plus budgeting and leadership to meet HAS goals and serve residents with reliable service.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or GED equivalent supplemented by technical level courses in mechanical, electrical, or building trades and 3–5 years of related experience; journeyman level skill in at least one trade; experience managing others.
• Must be computer literate with Word, Excel, Outlook and related tools.
• Knowledge of building maintenance trades and safety regulations.
• Ability to budget, schedule and staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on maintenance of the community and repairs of interiors/exteriors.
• Supervise and train maintenance staff on site.
• Inspect work for quality and timeliness; ensure cost-effective results.
• Train staff on preventive maintenance programs and safety regulations.
• Schedule daily work assignments and projects.
• Assist on special maintenance projects with Asset Manager.
