Job summary

Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is seeking a Groundsman to maintain school grounds, equipment, and safety across district sites. You will manage weed trimming, pruning, mowing, and debris removal while ensuring clean, safe work areas.

Must have a GED or high school diploma with a valid GA driver’s license and 2+ years in grounds care. Prefer 5 years of related experience and the ability to operate multiple machines and tools in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required with valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Minimum of two years of grounds maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in weed trimming, hedging, edging and blowing.

Responsibilities

• Proficient use of equipment for grounds maintenance and safety.
• Inspect and maintain grounds, perform weed trimming and tree work.
• Communicate clearly with team and follow instructions.
