Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Levels I & II) to follow daily GMP-aligned tasks, troubleshoot, repair and install production line equipment in Rahway, NJ. Responsibilities include disassembling pistons for washouts, completing monthly preventive maintenance, and supporting bi-annual deep cleaning—super sanitization procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or trade school.
• Experience: 5 years in high-speed packaging line maintenance incl. plumbing & basic electrical.
• Must communicate in English and read/interpret policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and project leadership for major programs.
• Respond to maintenance pages, perform repairs, adjustments on production lines.
• Disassemble/reassemble pistons during washouts and manage change parts.
• Execute line size changeovers and monthly preventive maintenance.
• Maintain area for change and spare parts storage; request supplies.
• Identify safety issues and suggest improvements; attend monthly safety trainings.
