Job summary

Amcor LLC in Indiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to observe and service production machinery in a fast-paced packaging facility. You will troubleshoot issues and perform repairs to keep lines running smoothly. You will dismantle machines, replace defective parts, read blueprints and schematics, and maintain lubrication and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand blueprints, drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic controls; troubleshoot with schematics.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Able to work all shifts and overtime.
• Ability to stand on concrete, climb stairs, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Strong troubleshooting ability with hands-on repair skills.
• Read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Observe production machinery and troubleshoot issues to locate and repair causes.
• Dismantle and replace defective parts using hand and power tools.
• Order materials and parts needed for service and repair.
• Lubricate and clean machinery and equipment.
• Maintain safe work environment and follow safety policies.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Train current and new department members as needed.
• Pursue on-the-job training opportunities.
