Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in Indiana is hiring a maintenance technician to monitor production equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs. You will dismantle and replace faulty parts, lubricate machinery, and ensure safety policies are followed. The role involves training new team members and may require overtime and all shifts.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, understands hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and uses hand and power tools to keep packaging lines running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Able to read/understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, layouts and manuals.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic controls and troubleshooting with schematics.
• High safety awareness and ability to work overtime and all shifts.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Observe production machinery, troubleshoot, and repair faults to restore operation.
• Dismantle machinery and replace defective parts using hand/power tools.
• Order materials and parts needed for service/repair of equipment and facility.
• Lubricate/clean machinery; maintain housekeeping and safety policies.
• Train new department members and learn new on-the-job skills.
