Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Tier III in Louisville, KY to maintain and repair manufacturing equipment and plant systems across departments. The 2nd shift runs 10 AM-8:45 PM, Monday through Thursday, with some overtime.

A $1,000 signup bonus is offered to qualified applicants. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance on conveyors, pumps, motors, and belts; troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues; interpreting blueprints; and basic welding as

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experience.
• Must be 18 years of age, High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work independently.
• Basic computer skills; CMMS experience a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve and prevent issues.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipment.
• Install and service control devices, sensors, and motor control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systems.
• Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
