Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company in Temple, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to care for manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems across all departments. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to keep production running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experience.
• Must be 18 years of age, High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background with tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work independently.
• Basic computer skills; CMMS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve and prevent issues.
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipment.
• Install and service control devices, sensors, and motor control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systems.
• Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed.
