Job summary

Pittsburgh Paints Company in Louisville, KY seeks a Maintenance Mechanic Tier III to maintain, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems.

Starting pay is $29–$34 hourly with a 2nd shift (10 AM–8:45 PM, Mon–Thu) and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Overtime may be required. Full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or skilled trades experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work independently.
• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• PLC troubleshooting experience, Allen Bradley preferred.
• Experience with hand and power tools; basic computer skills; CMMS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment to resolve and prevent issues
• Maintain and repair pumps, motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, and production equipment
• Install and service control devices, sensors, and motor control systems
• Troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred) and 480V 3-phase electrical systems
• Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on belts, piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, valves, bearings, and seals
