Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in California seeks a Senior Maintenance Manager to lead site-based maintenance operations and develop the next generation of maintenance leaders.

You will oversee Maintenance Managers, develop preventive programs, manage budgets, and drive safety and continuous improvement across an 80+ person team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years managing large, complex facilities organizations.
• 7+ years in senior management and leadership roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME Full Time Exempt experience.
• Work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 8+ years direct leadership/supervisory experience.
• 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 6+ years leading multi-site organizations.
• 6+ years senior leadership development and talent management experience.
• 6+ years managing department spend, RCA & CI experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Managers.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, manage site budgets and capital spending plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures across all operational areas while partnering with site leadership to implement, audit, and enforce maintenance execution and safe work practices.
• Manage vendor relationships, coordinate external contractors, provide technical leadership on equipment end-of-life decisions using ROI analysis, and leverage Amazon's network size to maximize economies of scale.
• Travel domestically up to 15% of the time to support network-level initiatives and provide guidance across multiple sites.
