Job summary

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a Lead Mechanic for our Lebanon, IN site. The role leads a team of mechanics and technicians performing preventive and corrective maintenance on complex manufacturing equipment, with emphasis on safety, GMP compliance, and reliability.

The position starts as an 8-hour, Monday–Friday role and may transition to a 12-hour day shift on a 2-3-3-2 schedule. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-craft maintenance role in pharma/manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Safety first mindset; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Adhere to GMP procedures.
• Complete maintenance work orders and daily documentation.
• Lead a team of mechanics and technicians in preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to ensure continuous operation.
• Improve equipment reliability and efficiency; maximize uptime.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory.
• Provide training to team members and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support planning and scheduling with feedback to planners.
