The John Stewart Company in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee daily maintenance and janitorial tasks across our property. The role emphasizes safe work practices, troubleshooting, and providing a reliable, high-quality service to residents, with opportunities to lead a team and ensure inspections meet codes.

From preventative maintenance to emergency repairs, you will be a hands-on crafts expert ensuring comfort and safety for residents.

Competenze

• 5+ years of multi-family apartment maintenance experience preferred or equivalent journeyman level in trades.
• Basic math and computer skills; fluency in English.
• Knowledge of OSHA worker protection regulations and safety procedures.

Mansioni

• Schedules and responds to work orders; coordinates with residents and management.
• Assists in safety trainings and inspections; handles plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs.
• Keeps projects on track; ensures compliance with deadlines and inspections.
• Operates installations and repairs per local, state, national codes.
• Inspects others' work for quality, safety, and contract compliance.
• Performs safety equipment tests and ensures proper operation; on-call capable.
