The John Stewart Company is seeking a Lead Maintenance to oversee day-to-day maintenance and janitorial needs of our residential building portfolio in Oakland. This role emphasizes safe work practices, troubleshooting, and strong customer service, with leadership responsibilities for building staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in multi-family maintenance or a journeyman level background, knowledge of OSHA standards, and solid math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Basic math and computer skills; English fluency.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations for housing.
• 5+ years in multi-family maintenance or journeyman level trades.

Responsabilités

• Schedules and responds to work orders, coordinate with residents and management.
• Assists in safety trainings and inspections; follows up repairs.
• Coordinates with Management on projects and deadlines; ensures timely completion.
• Installs and repairs in accordance with local, state and national codes.
• Inspects others' work for quality, safety and contract compliance.
• Maintains safety equipment and appliances; available for on-call duties.
