Job summary

Join Cortland as a Senior Maintenance Technician, leading advanced repairs and preventative maintenance across multifamily communities. You will mentor junior technicians, support the Service Manager, and take ownership of complex building systems to ensure safety and resident satisfaction.

You will diagnose, repair, and oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances, participate in on‑call rotations, and document all work while driving high‑quality service and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must hold Universal EPA certification.
• 3–5+ years of maintenance, facilities, or multi‑family housing experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support Service Technicians and assist in leading maintenance operations.
• Act as acting lead in the Service Manager's absence.
• Diagnose and repair advanced issues in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems.
• Address unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective action by the team.
• Monitor and report on building and security systems, including cameras and doors.
• Perform and oversee preventative maintenance on HVAC and equipment.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Provide high‑quality customer service to residents.
• Document all work and report recurring issues.
